Ground / Bus Bar Kit. These are custom made, in the USA, to last a lifetime. The Busbar is made from C110 Copper The mounting brackets are milled from 6061 aluminum. The Eriflex insulators are high quality devices meeting UL requirements. These kits are rated for 606 amps working current (at an ambient temperature of 86 Degrees F and a working temperature of 194 Degrees F in free air). These are built for the operator who requires good performance and will last a lifetime. This kit can be used to eliminate ground loops that may be responsible for poor audio quality and distortion. Or, this kit may be used to provide a convenient connection point for DC power distribution, eliminating resistive losses at the point of connection (voltage drop). You will experience a low voltage drop of less than 40 millivolts across entire the length of the bus bar at 606 amps and 194 Degrees F working temperature. Equipment operating in strong RF fields (or even without the strong RF field) may react poorly to multiple chassis ground points. Multiple separate chassis ground points may result in a voltage differential between the various pieces of equipment. This can cause unexpected problems during transmitter or receiver operation. Some effects may include buzzing, hum or squealing (feedback) in the transmit audio, cycling of relays and other “ghost” type problems. Single point grounding can eliminate these problems.
