This is a hot finished seamless (HFS) tube that is a lower-cost alternative to cold drawn seamless (CDS) tube. If tight tolerances are required, A519 4140 can be machined to exact specifications. In general, HFS is used for products that require a thicker wall and a high strength material such as hydraulic cylinders, rollers and sleeves.
